You can search for items from other MOBIUS libraries on the MOBIUS Search Page.

MOBIUS is only available to MSSU students/staff/faculty.  This service is not available for community patrons or alumni.

To request an item, please first log-on to your MOBIUS account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner.

 

  • Choose your institution from the drop-down list (Missouri Southern State University)
  • Your login information is tied to your MSSU Outlook account - if you're already logged into Outlook, then you may not need to sign in.  If you do need to sign-in, please use your Outlook information to log-in.
  • Search for the item that you are interested in requesting, and click the title name,
  • You will be taken to a page that looks similar to this example search image below.

  • On the bottom, you can see the libraries that have the item, and it will show if the item is available or checked out.  If no libraries are listed, then the item is not available to request at all.
  • Under the item title, there is a Place Hold button.  Click this to place a hold on the item.
  • Once the item arrives at Spiva Library, you will receive an automated email notification, and can pick the item up from the Main Circulation desk located on the 3rd floor.
  • When you are done with the item, by or before the due date, please return it to the Main Circulation desk.
  • Currently, MOBIUS items are not able to be renewed.
